Josh Brickey
Design - Battery, Battery Caption Head
Josh Brickey has been active in the marching arts since he was 14 years old. During his marching career, he performed in groups such as Carolina Crown, Bluecoats, Trinity Indoor Percussion Ensemble, and Rhythm X. In all the time that has followed, he has served in many different roles in the activity including snare tech, battery arranger, and percussion caption head. This is his fourth season on staff with The Cavaliers, and since 2007 he has spent every season working with Rhythm X. In the past, he has been grateful to work with many groups such as Bluecoats, Carolina Crown, Crossmen, Centerville HS, Tarpon Springs HS, Mason HS, Kettering-Fairmont HS, Miamisburg HS, the Miami University Marching Band, Triple Crown, Cap City, and more.
He remains incredibly active in publishing battery exercises, battery etudes, full pre-made and custom shows, and more through Plus 1 Designs, the online educational resource he co-owns and operated since 2015. He continues to publish music on other platforms including TapSpace and Music Chunks.
He is proud to be partnered with both Innovative Percussion and Pearl/Adams as an educational artist.
